Township Administration

Susan Ayers was appointed as Union Township Administrator in March 2022.  As administrator, Susan is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Township functions.  

Susan was born and raised in the Cincinnati area.  Susan obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University, focusing in Finance and International Business.  Susan worked as a financial analyst for two years prior to deciding to return to school.  Susan achieved a Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.  

Susan returned to the Cincinnati area to start a legal career with the Hamilton County Public Defender's Office as well as the Clinton County Prosecutor's Office.  In 2013, Susan accepted a position with the City of Middletown, Ohio Law Department.    From 2013-2022 Susan worked diligently for the City of Middletown as a prosecuting attorney, general counsel, department director, acting city manager as well as assistant city manager. These experiences are rooted in the desire for making sure her local community is safe and thriving. 

When not at work, Susan resides with her husband, Johnathon and their rescue dog, Oliver.  You will often find Susan spending free time doting over nieces and nephews, rooting for the Buckeyes and the Bengals in the fall and enjoying all of the local theater, museums and festivals that Cincinnati has to offer.
