As Union Township maintains steady growth, the Service Department continues its mission to provide a variety of services in a professional, courteous and efficient manner. With each year, our goal is to improve and enhance what we offer so that the residents and guests of Union Township can depend on a safe and well-maintained community.
The three divisions of the Service Department include Roads, Parks and Recreation and Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
The Roads Division is responsible for the maintenance of over 131 miles of township roads, including repair, snow removal, sign installation, and storm sewer projects.
The Parks Division is dedicated to the operations and maintenance of Veteran's Memorial Park, Clepper Park, Ivy Pointe Park and Mt. Carmel Park.
The Clarence E Combs Mt. Moriah Cemetery includes over 50 acres which is consistently maintained to provide a place of serenity and beauty. The Service Department strives to maintain a high standard of operations and maintenance within the township.

The Union Township Service Department’s Roads Division is responsible for the maintenance of 131 center lane miles of public roadways.

Union Township currently operates and maintains three parks: Veterans Memorial Park, Clepper Park, and Mt. Carmel Park.

Accreditation
When the Service Department became accredited in July, 2011, Union Township became the first township in North America to be so accredited by the American Public Works Association (APWA).

Debris (Junk) Days
Proof of Township residency is required in order to drop off unwanted items. Items can include furniture, clothing, appliances, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.
