Union Township Television was created to provide a venue for local residents to exercise their First Amendment right of free speech and explore their creativity by producing programs that will be of interest to other township residents. This is not a new concept for Union Township. For more than 10 years, we partnered with Anderson Township to offer the same opportunities. With the move of UTTV staff to Fire Station 51 on August 8, we officially opened our own studio and went live on Channel 8 on that same date. Local residents who are interested in developing a program or series of programs may borrow equipment and use our studio, and UTTV staff are available to train and certify producers in the use of our equipment. For those who don’t want to produce a program on their own, we have volunteer opportunities available. Some of our offerings include Union Township and Clermont County meeting coverage, as well as the West Clermont and Milford school district meetings. But since collaboration and partnership are at the heart of our station, as well as our township, we also work with local and county organizations to produce other interesting and informative programs. Crime Talk , featuring detectives with the Union Township Police Department Investigations Unit, focuses on current cases and seeks information from the public. Cooking with Rita: Love Starts in The Kitchen, showcases the signature dishes of local chef Rita Heikenfeld, who hosts the show with personality and pizzazz. These are just a couple of the programs that are making UTTV stand out from the crowd. Whether you are involved in producing, volunteering, or just watching, we believe UTTV will become one of your premier television stations. We can be seen on Time Warner channel 8 or 15. And remember: "Checking out your world … and bringing it back to you!" |
