Impersonating Officer -UPDATEUPDATE Charles A Moeller has been identified as the individual that impersonated a State Trooper on 01/18/10. The Union Township Police Department received a tip from a person who saw the story on a local news web site. That person also claimed to be a victim. Charles Moeller was positively identified and warrants were issued for Aggravated Robbery (Felony of the first degree), and Impersonating a Police Officer (Felony of the Third degree). Charles Moeller is currently at large. He is believed to be operating a 2004 blue Jeep Liberty with and Ohio license plate of number of 421 YCA. ... More... |
Impersonating OfficerOn 1/18/10 at 9:30 pm, an unknown subject used his vehicle to force another driver to stop in the area of SR 125 and the off ramp from SB I 275. The subject who is described as being a M/W 5-10/160 with gray hair approached the other driver and displayed an unknown type of identification card and stated that he was a State Trooper. 780 Ohio PikeOn January 5, 2010, the Union Township Police Department executed a search warrant at 780 Ohio Pike. The search warrant resulted in the recovery of a large amount of copper coils from stolen air conditioning units. The two individuals arrested in the offenses are, Evan Brooks M/W/23 and David Walker M/W/26, both reside in Union Township. Both Brooks and Walker are responsible for removing and or damaging seventy-eight air conditioning units from two apartment complexes in Union Township. Press Release 12/16/2009On 12/16/2009, at approximately 1:09 pm, two vehicles were northbound on I-275 near the Clough pike overpass. Both vehicles were traveling in the fast lane when a silver 2004 Jeep Wrangler was struck from behind causing the Jeep to lose control, strike a concrete bridge median, and roll into the northbound lanes of traffic. The vehicle that struck the Jeep left the scene of the accident. Officers are looking for a dark colored SUV, or a pick-up truck with a cap. English Oak Ct.The Union Township Police Department charged four individuals with attempted theft after responding to a call to English Oak Court.Officers arrived at the subdivision at about 3 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, and found one person hiding on the floorboards of vehicle on a nearby street. The other three people were picked up walking on Shayler Road. Jeremy Gaietto, 18, of Windsong Lane in Milford; Alex Altaly, 18, of Waterford Place in Loveland, and two 17-year-olds were charged with attempted theft, according to Union Township Police Lt. Dieckman LnOn 9-12-09 the Union Township Police Department responded to Dieckman Ln. to investigate for multiple thefts from vehicles. Through investigative efforts the Union Township Police Department was able to generate Nicholas J. Cooper M/W/18 of Union Township as a person of interest. Cooper was located and investigators were able to link him to the 9-12-09 offenses and multiple other thefts from vehicle offenses in the area, stemming back as far as June of 2009. American LegionOn 04/23/09 the American Legion (located at 497 Old State Rt. 74 Cincinnati, Ohio 45244) was broken into. The suspects made entry through the roof, and fled with and undetermined amount of United States currency. On 04/28/09, Union Township Police Department received information about the break-in. Based on the information obtained a search warrant was executed in the 4500 block of Wiener Ln. (Union Township). Recovered during the search were items used in the break-in. Susan SegarOn 03/23/2009 at 3:30am a traffic stop leads to the arrest of Susan Segar a female, white, age 40 for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated (OVI), Marked Lanes, Falsification, Tampering with Evidence, Theft, Receiving stolen Property, Forgery and stolen property was recovered. Susan Seger was stopped for a traffic violation, which led to her arrest for OVI. Upon ascertaining the identity of Segar she gave Officers a false name and date of birth. Scott HumesOn 03/18/09, Scott Humes was identified as robbing the Huntington and PNC banks in Union Township. Scott Humes is also responsible for the aggravated robbery that occurred at the Taco Bell in Union Township (Ohio Pike) where an employee was seriously injured after he was attacked during the robbery with a knife. Traffic StopOn March 13th at approximately 1830 hrs Union Township police dept initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was suspected of being involved in a narcotics transaction. There are several people detained at this time. The roadway has been closed in order to perform a necessary follow up investigation and to insure the stability of the recovered items in the motor vehicle.
