Police Night Out

Police Night Out

Free hamburgers & hotdogs, games, dunking booth, public safety displays and raffles.

The Union Township Police Department is gearing up for Police Night Out from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15th, at Veterans’ Memorial Park, Glen Este-Withamsville Road and Clough Pike.

As in other years, there will be plenty of fun activities and games for the whole family, including the Dunkin’ Booth, the Inflatable Bouncer, the Fire Safety Trailer, and much more. If available, UC Health Air Care and Mobile Care will fly in to deposit McGruff, the Crime Dog, for his annual visit.

This year, Cincinnati Bell is sponsoring a dining tent so guests can sit while they enjoy burgers, dogs and corn hot off the grill, Everything Bagels, and other treats..

Other sponsors include Meijer, Walmart, Sam’s Cub, TQL, Beechmont Ford and Constellation Energy. The JB Covert Lodge, the Union Township Police Academy Alumni, and The Glenn Assisted Living Facility have all volunteered to help out with this event, one of the largest and best attended in the area. Petermann Transportation will operate shuttles between the Civic Center and the park.

As always, this is a free event.

Police Night Out is designed to heighten crime and prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Union Township police officers will be on hand to answer any questions you have.

Show your support for this community effort and have a fun evening with the family while doing it.
