In pursuant to section 5543.17 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Clermont County Engineer's Office has determined that a road closure is necessary on Old SR 74 in conjunction with the Aicholtz Rd. Connector Project, and that it is impractical to construct a temporary highway/culvert and that a temporary detour is required. A road closure has been scheduled on Old SR 74 located between the intersections of Mt. Carmel-Tobasco Rd. and Aicholtz Rd./Rust Lane. The road will be closed to through traffic on Monday, 2-6-17 through Friday, 4-28-17. Local traffic will be maintained with these closures. All businesses along Old SR 74 must be accessed from the Mt. Carmel-Tobasco end. The length of the detour is approximately 4.83 miles. Old SR 74 between Aicholtz Rd/Rust Lane and SR 32 will close permanently on Monday, 2-6-17. All advanced warning and detour signs will be erected and maintained for this project. Below is the recommended detour.
